The Expos would bring the bats to Game 7 and crack 3 homers including one by series MVP Marquis Grissom (.483 3HR 9RBI). The Expos will move on to face the winner of the Astros/Mariners series. Blue Jays go out to commanding 3-0 series lead before the White Sox charge back to even the series at 3. Blue Jays win Game 7 to move onto the semifinals to meet the Texas Rangers who beat the 1 seed Braves. Roborto Alomar bats .458 to win series MVP honors. Box scores below. Phillies score in the bottom of the 9th to win the game 5-4 and the series 4-2. Jim Eisenrich drives in 11 runs in the series to be named MVP. Phillies move onto the Elite 8 where they will face the winner of the Expos and Orioles series. Box Score below

Cubs get a huge win down 2-0 in the series as Greg Hibbard goes 6 1/3 scoreless in a 7-4 win. Dwight Smith and Sammy Sosa drive in big runs and the Cubs bullpen barely holds on. Cubs are now back in the series down 1-2 with Game 4 from Wrigley tomorrow. Box Score below.
