Instead of laying down the bunt Lollar lines a Sanderson pitch out of the park to right. Later in the inning Terry Kennedy would line a 2 hit scoring Alan Wiggins to give the Padres a 3-0 lead.   Lollar would take over from there as he was dominate on the mound and in the batters box.
