Royals trying to stay alive in Game 4 send Bud Black (10-15 4.33 Grade 4YZ) to the mound against Frank Tanana (10-7 3.34 Grade 5YZ).   Pitchers come out on fire on this one as the teams are scoreless through 6 innings. Tanana only allows 4 base runners, while Black only allows 2. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th Darrell Evans singles to center and then the next pitch is lined out to left by Chet Lemon to give the Tigers the 2-0 lead. This would be more than enough for Tanana as he goes the distance shutting out the Royals on 4 hits.
