Game 2 – 1978 Tournament Replay Mariners vs Blue Jays

Game 2 with the Mariners was a wild one as both teams brought the bats and combined for 30 hits. Unfortunately for Toronto, Seattle scored 8 of the 14 runs and they are now down 2 games to 0.

Game started with fireworks as Seattle put a 6 spot on the board in the second, highlighted by homers from Dan Meyer and Craig Reynolds. The Blue Jays fought back with 3 in the bottom half including a homer by Horton and a RBI by Andy Ashby. The Jays pulled to within a run in the bottom of the fifth but the Mariners added an insurance run in the 8th to take the game 8-6.

Seattle now leads the series 2-0, as we head back to Seattle for Game 3.
