Game 1 – 1978 Tournament Replay Indians vs White Sox

Next match up in the play in round is the #20 seed Cleveland Indians vs the #19 Chicago White Sox. The Indians finished the season 69-90 and 6th in the AL East. The White Sox had a final record of 71-90 and finished 5th in the AL West. Was Orta’s second homer in the game, making him the first player in the tournament to hit 2 homers in a game. White Sox win 5-2.
