The Angels would bring in Dyar Miller and wildness would cost him. He would walk two in the inning and a double by Joe Morgan would give the Reds a 2-1 lead. The Angels would get a lead off single in the bottom half, but Pedro Borbon would get a double play ball from Don Baylor and pick up the save. Reds win 2-1 and take a lead of 2-1 in the series.
