Game 4 features a pitching matchup of Bill Bonham (11-5 3.53) for the Reds and Chris Knapp (14-8 4.21) for the Angels.
Reds have taken back control in the series and they get on top quickly in Game 4 with a run in the first. Dan Driessen with another clutch RBI hit. The Angels answer quickly and get the lead back with a 3 spot in the bottom of the 2nd. Joe Rudi and Bobby Grich with RBI hits.
Both teams would trade runs in the 3rd to make it a 4-2 Angels. From here on out Bonham would settle down and the Reds bats would take over. The Reds would score single runs in the 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th. The would also add a 2 spot in the 4th compliments of a Joe Morgan homer. Angels had 3 huge errors also that contributed to the runs. The Reds go onto to win the game 8-4, and take a commanding 3-1 lead into Game 5.
