Series tied at 2 as we head to pivotal game 5. Brewers send to Bill Travers (12-11 4.41 Grade 4) to the mound and the Reds send Fred Norman (11-9 3.70 Grade 7).
Brewers take control of this one as they bat around in the first and score 5 runs. Gorman Thomas with a big 2 run double. The Reds would get right back into the game scoring 3 in the 3rd. Ken Griffey would triple in Pete Rose and Joe Morgan would hit a 2 run homer.
That would be pretty much all the Reds could muster. The Brewers would keep the offense coming. They would score 2 in the 4th, 2 in the 5th, and 5 in the 8th. Gorman Thomas would hit a grand slam homer in the 8th as the big blow. Brewers take a 3-2 series advantage heading back to Milwaukee.
