After an incredible Game 3, Game 4 starters are Jim Beattie (6-9 3.73 Grade 5) for the Yankees and Brewer ace Mike Caldwell (22-9 2.36 Grade 19).
The Brewers get a quick run in the first via a sac fly from Larry Hisle. They would add another run in the 2nd as Charlie Moore singles in Gorman Thomas. The Yankees would finally get to Caldwell in the 6th as Reggie Jackson would single in Lou Piniella.
With the score 2-1 Milwaukee the Yankees would grab their first lead with 2 in the 8th. Lou Piniella once again with a solo homer and Chris Chambliss with an RBI single. In the bottom of the 8th the Brewers would tie it off Gossage as an error by Piniella would allow Sixto Lezcano score. We would stay tied at 3 until the 12th when Bucky Dent would line a homer to left off Bill Castro. Catfish Hunter would keep the Brewers scoreless over the 11th and 12th innings to pick up the win in relief.
