The Dodgers in desperate need of a win turn to Bob Welch (14-4 2.31 Grade 14YZ) and the Orioles send Storm Davis (10-8 4.53 Grade 4) to the hill.
The Orioles grab a 1-0 lead in the first as Cal Ripken Jr singles in Alan Wiggins. The Dodgers would answer right back in the 2nd with 3 runs. Last minute starter Terry Whitfield would line a 3 run homer to right center off Davis. Pitchers would settle after that as the score would remain 3-1 going to the 8th. In the 8th the Dodgers would add to their lead with 2 more runs. Mike Marshall would double in Mariano Duncan and Greg Brock would single in Marshall. Dodgers would add an insurance run in the 9th and the bullpen would take care of the rest and we have a tie series 2-2.
