Game 3 – 1985 Tournament Replay Angels at Expos

Pivotal Game 3 with the series tied at one has a pitching showdown of Ron Romanick (14-9 4.11 Grade 6ZL) for the Angels and lefty Joe Hesketh (10-5 2.49 Grade 13YZ) for the Expos.


Pitchers come out hot early as the game is scoreless through 3 innings. In the 4th the Angels would score 2 runs, one run scores on an error by Hubie Brooks and the other via single to center by Dick Schofield. With the score 2-0 Angles in the 6th, the Expos would finally break through against Romanick. Andre Dawson would reach base and Terry Francona would reach via error before Tim Wallach would jack a 3 run homer to left. This would be all Hesketh would need as he would set the next nine hitters down in order for the complete game win. The Expos have won 2 in a row and now have the series advantage 2-1.
