Game 4 – 1985 Tournament Replay Blue Jays @ Expos

Game 4 with the Jays up 2-1 has a pitching matchup of lefty Joe Hesketh (10-5 2.49 Grade 13YZ) for the Expos and Doyle Alexander (17-10 Grade 13Z) for the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays would do what they did in Games 1 and 2 and score 3 runs in the 1st. Lloyd Moseby would single in Garth Iorg and George Bell would triple in 2. The Jays would keep the pressure on with another run in the 4th as Damaso Garcia hits a sac fly. In the 5th the Expos finally get on the scoreboard with a run as pinch hitter U L Washington triples down the right field line. The Blue Jays would get that run back and one more in the 6th as Jesse Barfield goes big fly to score 2.

Alexander would take care of the rest as he would go the distance only giving up 3 hits. The Blue Jays now have a commanding 3-1 series advantage.

Final Score: Blue Jays 6, Expos 1

WP: Doyle Alexander (2-1)

LP: Joe Hesketh (2-1)

HR’s: Blue Jays – Jesse Barfield (1)
