Mets take both games in Toronto and send Ed Lynch (10-8 3.44 Grade 10Z) to the mound against Doyle Alexander (17-10 3.45 Grade 13Z).
Once again the Mets come out and get a lead as Gary Carter gets a 2 out single to score Lenny Dykstra. We would remain 1-0 until the 6th when the Jays bats would finally come alive. The Jays would bat around and score 6 runs as Lloyd Moseby would drive in 2 runs and Jesse Barfield and Willie Upshaw would also add RBI hits.
With the Blue Jays ahead 6-1 Alexander would take care of the rest as he would go the distance only allowing 4 hits as the Jays get a much needed win to get back into this series.
