When I set up the bracket, this was a series I was hoping would pan out. The Blue Jays had such a good team in 85 and a matchup with them and the up and coming 98 win Mets would be fun. It turned out to be a very good series and fun to play. The Blue Jays could not get any hits with runners in scoring position, and scored 1 run or fewer in 4 of the 6 games. Gooden was his normal dominate self and the Mets would win both games Toronto ace Dave Stieb pitched. The Mets will now move on to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in what could be a pitching classic as both rotations are real good. Can the Dodgers muster enough offense to stay in the series, we shall see.

Game 3: Blue Jays 6, Mets 1
Game 4: Blue Jays 3, Mets 1
