APBA 1988 World Series Replay – Game 3 – Dodgers vs A’s

Huge Game 3 with the series tied at 1 has a pitching matchup of Dave Stewart (21-12 3.23 Grade 15 YG) versus John Tudor (10-8 2.32 Grade 16 Z).

 

The Dodgers again would strike first the Dodgers would get 2 runs in the 2nd. Jeff Hamilton would single in John Shelby who tripled to lead off the inning. Later in the inning Steve Sax would get a clutch 2 out single up the middle to score Mike Davis. In the 4th the Dodgers would add another run as they would get back to back doubles from Hamilton and Davis to make it 3-0.

 

In the 5th LA would get another run as Mike Marshall would single in Kirk Gibson. The A’s would finally get to Tudor as Walt Weiss would single in Glenn Hubbard. Tudor would allow no more damage as he would get double play grounder to get out of the inning. The A’s would make some noise in the 9th but Alejandro Pena would come in and get Carney Lansford to ground into a double play to end the game. Dodgers lead the series 2 games to 1.
