APBA 1988 World Series Replay – Game 6 – A’s vs Dodgers

Back to Los Angeles for Game 6 with the Dodgers up 3-1. The Dodgers send John Tudor (10-8 2.32 Grade 16Z) to the mound against A’s ace Dave Stewart (21-12 3.23 Grade 15Y).

 

The A’s needing a win come out and score first with a run in the 2nd as Carney Lansford takes Tudor out to left. Tudor and Stewart stay in control as the score remains 1-0 until the 7th. In the 7th the A’s would add a run as Stan Javier would single in Lansford.

 

With the score 2-0, Stewart would remain in control as he would the last 6 outs in order for the complete game shutout. He would only allow 2 hits and only one base runner in scoring position the whole game. Series is now tied at 3 as we head to the winner take all Game 7. All three playoff replays for 88 will go 7 games!!

 

Final Score: A’s 2, Dodgers 0
