Out Of The Park 1993 Tournament – Game 5 – 3 Philadelphia Phillies vs 14 Chicago Cubs

Steve Buechele and Sammy Sosa hit homers off Curt Schilling as the Cubs bomb Phillie pitching and win the game 11-4 and keep the series alive. We head back to Veterans Stadium for Game 6. Box Score below.

Out Of The Park 1993 Tournament – Game 4 – 3 Philadelphia Phillies vs 14 Chicago Cubs

Sammy Sosa and Ryne Sandberg hit homers but it isn't enough as the Phillies bomb Randy Myers and Bob Scanlan to the tune of 7 runs in the 8th for a 9-4 win. The Phillies have a 3-1 lead now in the series as Game 5 will come to us from Wrigley. Box score below.

Cubs get a huge win down 2-0 in the series as Greg Hibbard goes 6 1/3 scoreless in a 7-4 win. Dwight Smith and Sammy Sosa drive in big runs and the Cubs bullpen barely holds on. Cubs are now back in the series down 1-2 with Game 4 from Wrigley tomorrow. Box Score below.

Phillies win Game 2 7-1 as Tommy Greene scatters 7 hits and only allows 1 run. Jim Eisenrich has 3 big RBI and the Cubs can't get hits with runners in scoring position. Series is now 2-0 Philadelphia as we head back to Chicago for Game 3. Box Score is below.

Next series features the 14 seed Chicago Cubs vs the 3 seed Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies finished the regular season 97-65 and beat the Braves in the NLCS. The would lose to the Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series. The Cubs finished the season 84-78 and 4th in the NL East to the Phillies. The Phillies win Game 1 6-4 behind a huge 5 run 5th. Curt Schilling gets the win while "Wild Thing' Mitch Williams grabs the save. Game 2 features startes Tommy Greene and Jose Guzman. Box score below.
