Winner take all for the World Series has a starting matchup of Tim Belcher (12-6 2.91 Grade 12XZG) versus former Dodger Bob Welch (17-9 3.64 Grade 11YZ).   Pressure packed Game 7 as bot pitchers have an easy 1-2-3 first. In the bottom of the 2nd with 2 outs John Shelby takes a Welch fastball out to center field just over the wall. The A's with no room for error send Storm Davis (16-7 3.70 Grade 10Y) to the hill against all world Orel Hershiser (23-8 2.26 Grade 19YZ).   Both pitchers come out in command as we go 4 innings with no score. In the 5th the Dodgers get on the board with a 2 spot. RBI single by Tracy Woodson and sac fly RBI by Steve Sax account for the runs. The A's would bounce back against Hershiser in the 6th as Jose Canseco would double in Walt Weiss with 2 out. The Dodgers winning 2 and row and now with the series lead send Tim Belcher (12-6 2.91 Grade 12XZG) to the mound against Bob Welch (17-9 3.64 Grade 11YZ).   Welch and Belcher pitched good in Game 1 and they both started off the same in Game 4. Through 3 innings we are scoreless with both teams combining for only 4 hits. In the 4th the Dodgers would finally break through against Welch. Kirk Gibson would walk and steal 2nd base. Huge Game 3 with the series tied at 1 has a pitching matchup of Dave Stewart (21-12 3.23 Grade 15 YG) versus John Tudor (10-8 2.32 Grade 16 Z).   The Dodgers again would strike first the Dodgers would get 2 runs in the 2nd. Jeff Hamilton would single in John Shelby who tripled to lead off the inning. Later in the inning Steve Sax would get a clutch 2 out single up the middle to score Mike Davis.
